해변과 축제의 계절이 깊어가고 있습니다.
무더위가 심해지고 있는데요, 그럴 수록 추억을 만들 수 있는 기회들도 많아지는 것 같습니다.
그래서 오늘은 이번 달 말 부터 8월에 이르기까지의 축제들과 달력에서 찾을 수 있는 우리 고유의 기념일 들을 소개하는 표현들을 모아 보았습니다..

The first of them is "World Percussion Festival."

At this festival you can enjoy the beat from all around the world.
Especially regarding to the Korean percussion music, this beat has a long history more than any other music at the country so if you listen to the beat and rhythm, you could feel rain, wind, and even thunderstruck on those charming paddy fields.
So, enjoy the beat from all around the world, This festival goes from july 28th(Wed) to August 1st(Sun).
Some are happening under the bridge, others at Culture and Art Hall.
The next is "Hickory shad fish Festival.

Korean hickory shad in August and September is so delicious, it has proverb like,
"The taste of hickory shad makes daughter-in-law come back who run away from home"
This festival start at August 4th and end at 8th on the Pal-po reclaimed land.
The third is "Sa-cheon Sun set Marathon"

For attending this event, you don't need to be a sports man.

This Expo means a lot for Sacheon people.
Because aerospace industry is the specialty of this rising city.
So, you can enjoy the world class Air-shows and exhibitions.

Latter part is some memorable days in August and more.
중복, 말복.
There are three summer days in Korea regarded as the hottest, and we celebrated this day eating healthy food like jinseng-chicken soup.
Chobok(초복) passed already but Jungbok and Malbok are coming soon. So looking forward to this tasty days.
Jungbok(중복) is July 29th and Malbok(말복) is August 8th.
광복절.
August 15th is Kwangbokjul, Korean Independence day.
This peace loving and philosophical Chosun Dinastyn expieranced colonization from the empirical Japenese power. But fortunately we could get back our nation and tradition finally, and this day is big inspiration to Korean people for long time.
칠석. (8.16) Chilsuk.
Will it be true that it will rain always on this day?
That's not scientific prediction but we have beautiful story related to ths day.
They believed that there is a dinasty in the heaven like on earth.
And Kyunwo and Jicknyu are the citizen of the heaven.
Kyunwo is a farmer feeding cows and Jicknyu is a weaver.
Two of them happened to love each other and they loved too strongly so they neglected their job.
So the King of heaven punished them as seperated them to seperated territories.
But they could meet only one day for the help of crow and magpie.
How could they help the lover?
Actually, they gathered and became a bridge.
So, on this day of a year two of them meet each other and cry, their tears become rain and believed if it rains this day, it becomes good sign for Korean people.
Finally, September 21st, 22nd and 23rd is national holiday for Chusuk, national thanksgiving day.
Actually that is August 15th in lunar year.
So, enjoy the fastival and holidays all of you.
